In Q2 2024, the US Android Film & Television app segment saw various trends in downloads, revenue, and user engagement according to the latest data from Sensor Tower. Here's a look at how the top 5 apps performed during this period.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies experienced a decrease in downloads over the quarter, starting at around 27K in the first week of April and settling at approximately 13K by the end of June. Revenue also showed a downward trend, starting at about $9K in the first week of April and ending at roughly $7K by late June. However, weekly active users increased, starting at about 114K and rising to over 223K.

Tubi: Free Movies & Live TV saw a significant drop in downloads, from 8K in the first week of April to just above 2K by the end of June. Weekly active users declined from approximately 80K to around 73K in the same period.

ViX: TV, Deportes y Noticias showed varied download numbers, peaking at 7K in mid-April and later hitting a high of over 8K in the last week of June. Revenue remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the $2K mark throughout the quarter. Weekly active users had a slight decrease overall, from around 163K to 170K.

Crunchyroll observed fluctuations in downloads, with peaks in mid-April at nearly 6K and late June at over 7K. Revenue saw minor fluctuations but generally hovered around the $5K mark. The number of active users saw a slight increase from about 67K to 76K.

Lastly, Disney+ maintained steady revenue growth, starting at around $12K in the first week of April and reaching over $14K towards the end of June. Downloads showed an upward trend, from approximately 4K to 11K. Weekly active users also showed growth, starting at about 76K and rising to over 108K.
